Days Before Darknesses

  • Eretz Israel Museum 2 Chaim Levanon Street Tel Aviv-Yafo, Tel Aviv District Israel (map)

"Days Before Darkness" contrasts total devastation with infinite compassion. Tchetchik’s photography-based installation features lightboxes depicting scorched landscapes and lone streetlamps, juxtaposed with tranquil seascapes and bare trees reaching to the heavens. At the heart lies a swan, wings spread open in a loving embrace from the darkness. Originally meant to show at the now-destroyed Gallery in Kibbutz Beeri, the Eretz Israel Museum will host the show after tragedy struck on October 7, 2023.

Opening Event: Thursday, January 18th at 7pm

Dates: 19.01.24-08.06.24

Curation: Sofie Berzon MacKie

Location: Alexander Pavilion of Postal History and Philately, Eretz Israel Museum
