Monday at the Museum | Days Before Darkness

  • Alexander Pavilion of Postal History and Philately, Eretz Israel Museum 2 Chaim Levanon Street Tel Aviv Israel (map)

The exhibition Days Before Darkness is located at the Eretz Israel Museum on March 11 at 11:00 AM, hosted by renowned artist Daniel Tchetchik and curator Sofie Berzon-MacKie.

Come join us for a casual meeting at the exhibition, an opportunity to meet Daniel and Sofie, ask questions and express your thoughts..

Discover the profound narrative behind "Days Before Darkness," an exhibition that intricately weaves together themes of devastation and compassion through Tchetchik's evocative photography-based installation.

Tchetchik's work invites you into a world of contrasts – from scorched landscapes illuminated by lone streetlamps to tranquil seascapes and bare trees reaching towards the heavens.

Originally intended for the now-destroyed Gallery in Kibbutz Beeri, this extraordinary exhibition found a new home at the Eretz Israel Museum following the tragic events of October 7, 2023.

The opening event took place on Thursday, January 18th and the exhibition runs from January 19th to June 8th, 2024, at the Alexander Pavilion of Postal History and Philately in the Eretz Israel Museum.

Located in the Ramat Aviv neighborhood of Tel Aviv, the Eretz Israel Museum has been a cultural cornerstone since 1958. Boasting galleries dedicated to archaeology, postal history, ethnography, crafts, photography, and visual arts, the museum's unique curatorial vision fosters meaningful interactions between artists, curators, collectors, and audiences. Explore a dynamic blend of emerging, mid-career, and established artists, sparking invigorating discourse in each exhibition.
